I am an artist, social justice advocate and conscious movement educator. I believe deeply in the healing potential of alchemizing personal chaotic energy into outward creative action. My mission is to help others in seeing and being themselves, so they can show up fully and be present within our ever changing world.
My movement & breath classes focus on building a supportive framework for cultivating creative flow within our day to day. They offer approachable practices that encourage curiosity, playful exploration, objective observation, and personal accountability. I support my students in identifying existing habits of movement and thought, while guiding them through processes of personal re-patterning.
Creative and therapeutic movement exercises have been a consistent part of my daily experience since the age of 3. I have studied (theory and practice) dance, acrobatics, yoga, breath work, trauma recovery, somatic psychology, spiritual philosophy and meditation cumulatively for over 30 years.
After earning my first 200hr Hatha/Vinyasa Yoga certification in 2009, I began working individually with people recovering from spinal injuries on finding acceptance as they redeveloped their physical strength and range of motion. I have since taught private and group classes, developed online courses, led up to 200 hour yoga teacher trainings and facilitated over 50 retreats internationally.
I am certified in Hatha, Vinyasa, Restorative, and Katonah Yoga® practices and have significant education/training in Iyengar, Yin, Prenatal, Forrest Yoga and other integrative movement modalities.
I am currently based in NYC and offer 1:1, private small group and corporate sessions in yoga, breathwork and mobility training online and in person. Please send me a message if you are interested in working with me.
